Look at Dearborn, where Christians who do not hide their faith or deny it in public are "stoned" with random objects by Muslim mobs. And under Shariah, the infidel MUST be treated this way, even allowing small children to scream obscenities to demean Christians. This "anyone who isn't Muslim is worse than second class" treatment is a taste of Shariah if fully implemented. I agree that once we threw out common law, we were left with the extremes of Shariah on one hand and anything-goes Hedonism on the other. Neither of which is healthy.

In July, 2009, Newsweek ran a feature article on “relationships with multiple, mutually consenting partners,” entitled, “Polyamory: The Next Sexual Revolution.” Last week, Showtime launched a reality TV show called “Polyamory: Married and Dating.” To quote from Newsweek’s 2009 article, it’s “enough to make any monogamist’s head spin.” And all this, of course, is being touted as a great thing, a celebration of love and freedom, a deliverance from the monotony and constraints of monogamy.
