Mr. President, studies of soil erosion and deposits have proven that the NE has had many hurricanes throughout history...even before cars. The plains have had many droughts throughout history, and this has been the cycle of rebirth of the grasslands for ages...dries out, then fire, fertilization and more grass...before factories... everything you mentioned have been the cycle of this planet for eons...and the timescale between events is not outside the standard deviations in most cases...please explain Mr. President.

Let's play the "what if a Republican had said this" game. Last night MSNBC's Chris Matthews responded to Senator Marco Rubio's State of the Union rebuttal as "primitive," "tinkertoy," "juvenile," and something that reminded him of a high school debate team.

I won't hold my breathe waiting for Al Sharpton or Colin Powell to accuse Matthews of using "code words."
