Early in the 20th century, a few farsighted tycoons, most from the Midwest, who'd made their fortunes in the burgeoning automobile industry, separately conceived an idea for a new playground for the leisure class. Among their most preposterous projects was the dredging of Biscayne Bay to create a man-made beach paradise offshore the new, elegant, tiny city of Miami--which itself was created from a mangrove swamp."

If it's true what they say, I will have to change in order to survive in the same climatic conditions I am currently under. I will have to migrate sometime in the next 100 or so years to a land 33 miles north of here.
For several years, in the state of Florida, it has been illegal for locals to infringe the rights of gun owners more than the laws of Florida. (FL statutes are on the internet.) After it was found that some local entities ignored the law and instituted limits on gun use, penalties were added to punish anyone, including law enforcement officers, who attempt to interfere with gun owners legal activities.
I just uninstalled firefox. I support free speach and Eich.
George Washington and other colonials grew marijuana, but they called it 'hemp' and used the stalks to make rope.
I will give my milk cow any name I want!
Well, yeah. It should have been " the chief MAN-MADE greenhouse gas". But water vapor is only about 95% of total greenhouse gas. CO2 fully 25% of the rest. (Although it is not all man-made; most of it is released from surface of oceans and lakes.). Still, can you IMAGINE the difference it would make if civilization stopped all burning of fossil fuels? (which returns gasses to the atmosphere from which they were captured by plants eons ago)

I took my wife out and we bought her a BODYGUARD .38. Next, she wanted a JUDGE. I found a concealed-carry pocketbook on-line; now she has several. She traded the JUDGE for a GOVERNOR (.45lc, .45 auto, 410ga), which is her favorite gun. She now has 5 guns and shoots them all. We are both trained and have CCW's. We have lots of fun target shooting and it makes her happy (which makes me happy, too).
In the 12 months since the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., almost every state has enacted at least one new gun law, according to a database compiled by the Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence. Nearly two-thirds of the new laws ease restrictions and expand the rights of gun owners NewYork Times Published: December 10, 2013
