Congratulations to Mitt Romney for selecting this awesome VP candidate! Yes, he should thank Ryan--but make no mistake: Romney selected Ryan for this very reason. And what a choice it is! Ryan IS formidable. He has absolute command of the budget numbers & issues and he is articulate & likeable. Ryan was the perfect choice.

I tend to agree. Since Ryan is head of the budget committee and has all the budget and economic information easily at hand, he can debate Biden or Obama and nail them with actual facts and figures. It is the economy, jobless rate and the cost of Obamacare that is going to win the election for Romney/Ryan. For me, the biggest issue is Obama's bypassing Congress and imposing regulations on everything and everyone, his and the Democrats communization of the economy and our lives and their belief in redistribution of wealth. He is a wannabe dictator, arrogant, self absorbed and fully believes he and his ilk are our superiors and know what is best for us and are going to save us from ourselves. Read about collective salvation.

GOP Vice Presidential nominee Paul Ryan delivered exceptionally strong remarks in Tampa tonight, capping off an incredible hour of nationally-televised speeches from Republican headliners.  The construction and tone of Ryan's address was masterful.  He was serious, earnest, likeable -- and he took apart President Obama's record with great skill and relish.  The Congressman opened with a stark assessment of the dismal campaign President Obama has been forced to run, due to his failed record in office:

I’m the newcomer to the campaign, so let me share a first impression.  I have never seen opponents so...
