The 10th Amendment is the crux of the entire problem we're grappling with. Apparently when Chief Justice Roberts got his mail-order JD they only sent him the first nine amendments. Maybe Nancy Pelosi stole it from his mailman. We lost this battle long ago, with the XVIth amendment and Madison v. Marbury. As Ress wrote below, it's going to take a long time to undo all the harm we've done to ourselves. But, let's believe that we can do it. The TEA party movement is a great start. Writers like Mr. Mitchell certainly help.

My Dream Speech for Mitt Romney

Amen, brother Prager. There has not been an election in my lifetime in which it has been so clear that two diametrically opposed views of America are the crux of the election. Are we to become, as Obama has clearly stated is his desire, just another nation at the table of nations? Or the greatest accomplishment of the human race. American exceptionalism is important not just to we Americans, but to humanity as well. And, Mr. Prager, you should be ashamed of yourself: They are the Democrat party, no "ic" at the end. Certainly, you realize that they are as far from being democratic as can be imagined. I know it's a small matter, but it is the basis for some people preferring to vote for the party that's democratic.

Dave, one more caution about online coupons. A coupon for 25 cents off may cost nearly that much to print. Those color cartridges are expensive. I teach business math and thought I would pass this along.

The Reagan in Romney

Also it should be noted, because it's important, that Romney balanced the budget in Massachusetts, a state which was in love with balooning deficits. Also, he brought an over-budget Olympics, at the time he took over the helm, in under budget.
Mr. Mitchell gets it. The coverage of the Chik-Fil-A controversy by the MSM is as good a proof of their bias as one could ever ask for. Most of the MSM does not write lies, but they express their biases through selective reporting. Those who hew the liberal doxology get the ftont page, the 36 point headlines, and the in-depth reporting. Those who dissent may, on a good day, get three paragraphs on page 33 with a 14 point headline.
This is what happens when you let the fox guard the henhouse. This is also why all levels of government should be as small and non-intrusive as possible. Human nature has some vile facets. Letting those facets run rampant with other people's money is what we're seeing ruin once great Detroit, Oakland, Santa Monica, et al.
I particularly like Ann-Marie's droll digression. Progressives make it sound as if they're the courageous folks trying to get their message out of the wilderness when, in fact, they own the MSM. Thank God for the internet and bloggers like Ann-Marie.

One-on-One with Mitt Romney

It's great to see Romney get the opportunity to state his case on CNBC, and he stated it well. Romney was not my first choice, but my 280,000,000th choice would still be better than Barry Soetoro, or whatever his name is.
This is the most obscene statement ever made by a U.S. president. But it is typical of the mentality of Barry Soetoro, or whatever his name is, and his mentor Saul Alinsky. Remember that the original dedication of Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals" was to Lucifer.
It seems to me that now is definitely the time to have this discussion. Thomas Jefferson was of the opinion that there should be a revolution every generation or so, and there've been roughly nine of them since he made that observation. Other strong indicators are: the behavior of Barry Soetoro, or whatever his name is, ruling by executive order; Prince Reid and the Senate abdicating their responsibility to budget; the "reconciliation con" used to ram Obamacare down our throat; and, finally, the torturous logic, if such it can be termed, of CJOTSCOTUS's majority opninion on that same nefarious piece of legislation.
