All matters of faith and morality are dependent on the teachings of the Catholic Church. No other Church, no individual. That's how Christ determined it. The fact you can leave His Church for your alternative source of belief, doesn't change the Will of God. You may search the scriptures all you want. Jesus never made us Bible Christians. He wanted a Church; and said it very clearly. I think a good way to put it is; Free-lance Christians take their salvation for granted. They're described by Jesus in the parable of the Ten Virgins at the wedding feast. Five were wise (faithful Catholics with enough oil for their lamps (GRACE.)
For at least the last hundred years, the world's most dynamic religion has been neither Christianity nor Islam.
