I'm happy to say BonnyB hasn't said anything I can repudiate. I simply expect her to become a faithful Christian; not merely a Bible Christian. She's made a good start. Salvation isn't as undemanding as they all think, is all I said.

It may not be so many.

Or maybe it's fairly many. Who is asking? Do you think your lunacy attracts souls to Christ? I seriously doubt it!

How many have you won to your religion and point of view?

How many have you turned away?

Maybe I fail with you; an individual of pharisaical disposition. You won't hear the truth. As I said; give the truth a chance and you'll cry tarbaby or corrupt mind. But can you change it by squawking? Sorry; NO.

Everything I've said is true. When you see the lie in my "attack" be so kind as to post it. I'll either retract the words or make them easy for you. I may even give you that old spoonful of sugar to make the medicine go down.

dread, perhaps believing is seeing!

The conclusion:

I would make it much simpler if it were assigned to me by Jesus; not more convoluted or complex; as my thoughts seem for you.

Mine are simple enough, and ought to please anyone who truly loves Jesus Christ: Do as HE told us. Not as mortal men tell us, usurping the power granted His apostles. Does that strike you as convoluted? Too complex for you?

I maintain it's simple. It's all explained in the scriptures indeed. He never says in any parable or lesson: "Blessed are that myriad Bible reading Reformers who do not care for MY Church."
I've searched the Bible looking for REFORMATIONS in his prophesies. Never found it.

dread, you don't even know what biblical salvation is!
Dreadnaught011 Wrote: Oct 07, 2012 1:20 PM

Here goes, newt:

You PS this:

". . . salvation may not be undemanding but it is not impossible nor is it as convoluted and complex as you present."

I have no salvation to offer, first of all. It always comes from God. Jesus designed it HIS way, not ours necessarily.

You OTOH, think you can offer it with or without Jesus, or at least *not deny salvation* to whoever lets it drift his way.

Mind; I never said it was impossible, even if you think I have. I never attempted to bar anyone's salvation; or dictate the right way there. I can't.

You think I have, and you're mistaken. I speak my own mind . Squarely based on the teachings of Christ and His apostles. Go to

dread, the church does not need you to defent it.

the church needs you to draw people to the church instead of chasing them away!

Thank ewe, newt; for your unappealing anthology of pecksniffian posts. Addressed to somebody who has the same freedom of speech as you and others who meet here. (That's yours truly.)

Do you intend to keep on roasting me, for defending the Church from imps and fools who don't strike you as religious partisans? Go ahead; do your best. Maybe as my parting shot I'll answer just one point in your long diatribe: The last one. PS salvation etc.,

Dreadnaught011 Wrote: Oct 06, 2012 2:26 PM

The way to deal with me; as tarbaby; is to turn your back to me. Go away and don't engage me face to face.

I am the TRUTH here in this forum. If you don't want to know the truth, don't pay attention to me. So, you have me pegged correctly as a tarbaby.

I'll keep you failing as long as you dispute me. (About the Church founded by Christ.)

As for my estimation of you;

You're acting here like a Pharisee. You gloat over my sometimes tacky remarks; as if that alone gives you the high ground. I forgive that. This is our life in this world. Just as I stretch the envelope on occasion, I have no wish to punish you for rebuking me.

You tell others not to grant me any tolerance when I  explain Catholic faith. That I'm a "tarbaby."

And it's a sound analogy; I accept that.

For at least the last hundred years, the world's most dynamic religion has been neither Christianity nor Islam.

It is leftism.

Most people do not recognize what is probably the single most important fact of modern life. One reason is that leftism is overwhelmingly secular (more than merely secular: it is inherently opposed to all traditional religions), and therefore people do not regard it as a religion. Another is that leftism so convincingly portrays itself as solely the product of reason, intellect, and science that it has not been seen as the dogma-based ideology that it is. Therefore, the vast majority of the...
