Not to mention the reality that almost all mass-shootings are committed, not by diabolically evil criminals (you know, just like the ones on television and in movies and comic books), but by law-abiding citizens, some of whom may not have even had so much as a parking ticket, and usually with legally obtained guns! Furthermore, if we follow the "logic" that there is no point in gun controls or gun bans, since the so-called "bad guys" will get them anyway then, by extension, there is no point in having laws against murder, theft, rape, pedophelia or drunk driving, since people are going to do it anyway.

Must every tragic mass shooting bring out the shrill ignorance of "gun control" advocates?

The key fallacy of so-called gun control laws is that such laws do not in fact control guns. They simply disarm law-abiding citizens, while people bent on violence find firearms readily available.

If gun control zealots had any respect for facts, they would have discovered this long ago, because there have been too many factual studies over the years to leave any serious doubt about gun control laws being not merely futile but counterproductive.
