I'd like to hope he represents the president's views if that were the case. We should support Israel as friend, but that does not mean we need to indulge all of their worst behavior and excesses. Would you rather have a 'yes' man for a personal friend, or a friend who would be willing to tell you when you're making a mistake? Iran can be contained. We do not need as many nuclear weapons as we have. That does not mean total disarmament. It means scaling back the thousands of weapons we have to a more reasonable and affordable level. And the 'Surge' did not achieve its intended goals, and the Iraq war was a mistake to begin with.
