I'm glad you are able to see that Katz's statement is offensive, but believe, this is clear fascist eliminationism.

If you read my earlier comment, this article by Gerson is completely dishonest. He cropped Ginsburg's quote and lied about the surrounding context. Read the article yourself, and you will see that Ginsburg did not come close to saying the we should eliminate undesirable people. So don't use her to defend some creep like Katz.

Gerson's article is one giant lie, and it's aimed to elicit misunderstanding in people like you and hatred in people like Katz. It's similar in its dishonesty to Goldberg's "liberal fascism" nonsense. Liberals would never believe in eliminationism - but for conservatives,...

What a creepy, hateful thing to say (eliminate all the liberals).

This is exactly what the Nazis were out to do, and it is clear that Katz has achieved that level.

And this is exactly the type of hateful, indeed murderous, motivation that articles such as Gerson's (and half the others on Townhell) are designed to promote.

Use your brains, people.

Comparing yourself to the Howard Beale character is about as absurd as it gets.

Prelutsky has absolutely nothing in common with Beale's distress at propaganda rather than news. Prelutsky's aim is to spread hatred toward Obama andn liberals, nothing more.

While most of the Townhell columnists try to be subtle in their distortions, Prelutsky doesn't even try to come close: He just says anything no matter how absurd (e.g., "trying to turn America into a left-wing third world nation").

This is just stupid, hateful nonsense. How can you possibly read this junk?

Gerson's piece is perhaps his worst, and he is one the worst. To accomplish his smear, he pulls a quote out of context, chops off the last sentence of her statement, misrepresents what she said earlier, and generally distorts the surrounding context.

The actual interview of Ginsburg can be found here: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/07/12/magazine/12ginsburg-t.ht ml?pagewanted=1

Here's the quote Gerson presented: Justice Ginsburg:

"Yes, the ruling about that surprised me. [Harris v. McRae -- in 1980 the court upheld the Hyde Amendment, which forbids the use of Medicaid for abortions. " Frankly I had thought that...

So the best you can do is hide behind the "feisty editorialism" of Prelutsky and some claptrap about "free speech".

Sorry, people, the guy is a pathetic creep. Anyone who publicly compares democratic senators to cockroaches and suggests lynching them is unethical and dangerous.

I say dangerous because he is just trying to inflame your underlying hatred, which will result in more violence and misunderstanding. I say unethical - well, maybe you can understand that on your own.

Prelutsky is clearly a psychopath - admire him all you want. But keep in mind that his ratcheting up the hate rhetoric is just another sign of your desperation.

There's no way Adams actually read the entire bill.

He even admits that he: "rephrased many of these statements and put them in the form of several dozen true/false statements".

How stupid does he think you people are - that he can pull these "statements" completely out of context - that he can arbitrarily rephrase many of these statement.

Adams claims to be a "professor", but if this doesn't have a thing to do with scholarship or even basic intelligence.

It's a joke.

Here's what the hate-monger Prelutsky stated:

"When it comes to our national security, keeping the likes of Barbara Boxer, Barney Frank and John Kerry in the loop would be the height of insanity. The only loop appropriate for most of the ninnies in Congress is one hanging from the branch of a very tall tree.

So far as I can tell, the only real difference between members of Congress and cockroaches is that one of the two species has a few more legs than the other."

Do you people reading this crap have any idea how extreme these statements are? The hapless Prelutsky covers all the bases: the dehumanization of people as cockroaches (a la Ruanda) and of course the lynching tree (a la the KKK).

This is way, way...
