GM CEO Pushes For a Higher Gas Tax

Well Dan, you have definitely risen to your level of incompetence! (The Peter Principle). If we all had your income and cars and drivers for free we might agree with you. So...how about providing all of us with that first. You also seem to forget that many of us live in rural and agricultural areas. A Chevy Volt doesn't hold too many bales of hay or pallets of feed! Heck the nearest WalMart is 47 miles..one way. So I can get there and then sit overnight waiting for the POS Volt to recharge. Dan, you definitely need an excellent surgeon...you suffer from cranial, rectal inversion!

Obama's Huge New Tax

When we first started our business the paperwork compliance was substantial, but doable. Now it has grown out of control. Our employees need to put fuel in the vehicles and stop at any gas station to do so. Now who do I send the 1099 to at BP, Mobil/Exxon, Citi, etc. What are their EIN numbers? We use numerous vendors, some from Canada, now how do I deal with the 1099's for them? How do we get their EIN numbers? It's more than just filling out forms! Section 9006 is nothing but the precursor to a VAT tax. Also because of the nature of our business we have to comply with the FAA, FCC, DHS, OSHA and several other alphabet soup agencies. We spend enough each year on lawyers and accountants to hire 11 additional employees. Now you tell...

We, the people listened to all talking heads telling us to use the political system to address our position against the Obamacare bill.

What was accomplished? Nothing..zip..zero..nada!
Millions of letters, calls, faxes, town halls, trying to use the political process.

Our government totally ignored the people. Worse they have labeled us with every foul name they could think of, accused us of being racist, homophobic and other vile names. When the government no longer represents the people, violates the Constitution and tramples the Bill of Rights it's time to remove it.

Thomas Jefferson foresaw the day when once again it would be time for a revolution.
The actions that are taking place now are just the...

You know those nice fake cards and reply card they send you? Well just warp up a brick, tape the return card to it and mail it back. When they see thousands of these bricks and the cost of the postage due they'll get the message!

Most vehicles today can handle 10% ethanol. At 12% there will start to be problems. There are only a few cars that can handle 15% ethanol today. May be we should all consider the "VOLT"! LOL Then there are all the small engine products, lawnmowers, leaf blowers, chainsaws, garden tractors, tillers and so forth that are not designed or intended to work with any ethanol. How do they intend to address that market?

Tax Increases on the Horizon

As a small business owner I am seriously considering shutting down. Our business income is reported as personal income and the additional taxes, along with the 1099 reporting and the employee insurance fiasco are just too much for us to deal with. Our accountant talked with use about the requirement that if an employee's family income is spending more than 9.5% on insurance premiums then we can be fined $3000 for that employee. Now how the heck do we determine the "family income" for each of our employee's? What is considered income? In addition, we are a last mile, wireless, broadband internet provider and are trying to figure out what new rules and regulations are about to befall us. Unfortunately we will be letting employees go...

Obama vs. the U.S. Army

That Obama would let comments, mostly by McChrystals aides, printed in a third rate, rag magazine get to him to the point he "fired" McChrystal just shows his, Obama's, immaturity. Obama has repeatedly shown his childish attitude in his various comments, like "kicking a$$". We have a child for president...expect actions and responses as you would from 16 year old.
California Penal code 834(b) is basically the same as the AZ law. Gee...no one has even bothered to mention that. MSM seems to be ignoring other states that have similar laws. Maybe Holder should ask Obummer about the Constitution...Mexico has no "right" to participate in the action by the Feds against AZ., even if filing as an Amicus Curiae. As Charles Krauthammer said about the Government, "They're Stuck On Stupid!"

John S. McCain, Will You Please Go Now?

Dragon7 Wrote: Apr 23, 2010 7:37 AM
McCain is a has been, recycling old ideas and propaganda. He no longer represents the younger generation and does not seem to understand them either.
He needs to retire and let younger, fresh idea candidates in. There are plenty of younger conservatives that are waiting for an opening and the financing.

McCain..go home..prop up your feet, sit back and have good Scotch!
