Very Good Points. Those at the top never suffer for their orders. Only the low levels in the trenches. Who got punished for Abu Gharib? Not the one's that issued the polices and gave the orders. Just the soldiers doing what they were told. And what does the military do with a soldier that questions illegal orders and exposes them? They throw him in solitary for months and put him on trial for disobeying orders and aiding the enemy.

Talk is cheap, Gen. Petraeus. You may not agree. After all, your Washington, D.C., super lawyer, Bob Barnett, charges you something like $900 an hour for a kind of talk best described as reputation reconfiguration or image management, and that's not cheap. Still, you probably consider it effective.
