If Doug has children, I bet they are feeling real secure now. If I were one I would be finding a lawyer to get me removed from his custody.

He proves that Albert Einstein, in addition to being a physicist, was a very good philosopher. "Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe." Albert Einstein
I wonder if any of the people reading, hearing, or making the comparison have ever looked at their auto insurance policy. Mine has coverage for "uninsured motorists" to provide for me should I be involve in an accident with an uninsured or underinsured driver. This has been a part of my policy in all three states in which I have lived: Alabama, California, and Louisiana. All three require drivers to have insurance. In Alabama you must show your insurance ID in order to get or renew your license plates. I guess insurance companies recognize that having a law doesn't make it necessarily so.
"Harry Truman was said to have been in a philosophical mood -- he often was -- on leaving the White House as the most unpopular president since Herbert Hoover." When Truman left office FDR was the only other president since Herbert Hoover. He was also, therefore, the second most popular president since Hoover.

Statements like this are a real turn off to me. I almost missed a very good article because the opening statement was down right stupid. Aren't we conservatives vilified enough without providing ammo for more trashing? If you are going to make a statement about history as the opening sentence get someone who knows a little about history to read it before you publish it.
