If only everybody would explain it in such simple words. We are constantly told that this is too complex for us simpletons to understand but my question is why should only politicians be so smart to grasp it? We are being let down by the media that also make things seem complicated to justify their positions while the concept is basic and understandable by all. Fancy words don't change things and the fact that all countries are loaded with debt they will never be able to repay and the history of having done all this before should make it very clear that the result will be the same.

Because they are predominately attorneys and everyone knows they know whats best b/c they're attorneys.

Amid all the political and media hoopla about the "fiscal cliff" crisis, there are a few facts that are worth noting.

First of all, despite all the melodrama about raising taxes on "the rich," even if that is done it will scarcely make a dent in the government's financial problems. Raising the tax rates on everybody in the top two percent will not get enough additional tax revenue to run the government for ten days.

And what will the government do to pay for the other 355 days in the year?

All the political angst and moral melodrama about getting "the rich" to pay...
