The big thing that turned us seniors against Perry is his stand that "Sociai Security is a Ponzi scheme......".; and that it should be turned over to the states. This is threatening to those of us who paid into the SS system all our working lives and now depend on i for our daily bread. With this statement Perry became a mortal threat to millions who depend on the SS and Medicare system for our very lives. Perhaps SS needs some adjustment and fine tuning but, even though I am a life long Republican I will vote for his Democratic opponent if this man gets the nomination.

I bought three rental houses some years ago and they proved to be a great investment. However, I have found that since the recession, rents are not increasing. Renters who are working people just don't have any extra cash their incomes are not increasing and are being streached to the limit as the price of food climbs.. If I raised the rent, my renters would just have to move out and look for cheaper housing. I don't think income property is a good investment during an "inflationary recession", Perhaps wages will start to catch up over time but I see no sign of this happebning as long as there are millions of unemployed desperate for work.
