AND REALLY GM isnt alive, its on taxpayer support still, as for SAVING the AUTO industry, are we really that stupid, FORD is strong, and not on the dole either, and like ROMNEY said GM did go through bankruptsy, just Obama style where you take it from the true owners and GIVE IT TO THE UNION that bankrupted it in the first place. Saved nothing, Ford would have taking over all of GMs business and itys employees as well, if no one bought it, America is buying lies and fairytales and going down the drain , Obama is BAD FOR AMERICA wake up November is close.

I love how Ford is the model of fiscal sanity for conservatives when, the only reason that Ford survived was because they the were leveraged more than the other companies when the crash hit (a situation that would have left them at a disadvantage in ANY other circumstance).

They are so "strong" because they took out a mountain of unadvisable debt, and got lucky when it went worse for the other auto makers when the bank system came to a screeching halt and borrowing money became prohibitively expensive. Not exactly a business plan you can hang your hat on...

I'm curious about how much of the Stimulus money has been wasted on the production costs of the Volt - which sells for LESS THAN HALF of it's per unit costs to produce.

This clip is a few days old but worth watching in its entirety. Appearing on “On the Record” with Greta Van Susteren Thursday night, Congressman Allen West (R-FL) explained why “it’s insane” for the Obama administration to base their entire foreign policy on the death of Osama bin Laden. Take a look:
