Allison, Force equals acceleration divided by mass. The metric unit of force is the newton, named for Isaac Newton. Energy is the capacity to exert a force through a distance. The metric unit of energy is the joule, named for English physicist James Joule. Power is work per unit time. The metric unit of power is the watt, named for Scottish physicist James Watt. This is basic high school physics, taught in the first month during fall semester. You absolutely do NOT know "the basics".
