Next, they'll tell the kids how many times they should chew and on what side of their mouth. Lunch-time should not be a nutrition exercise. The kids are faced with the possibility of eating something they don't like or going hungry, because the govt says so. Where does govt interference end, if ever? Pepperoni pizza or a Big Mac each contain all four food groups. The kids like that kind of food. They won't throw a lot of it away and the worry about 'wasted' money would be gone. Personally, I'd like a blue-cheese crumble stuffed double burger, wrapped in bacon and deep fried. Yummm...

Do you want every American to look like a fat pig? Many do now!! Too many! Children have type 2 diabetes today--20 years ago they did not. Wake up before it's too late.

No wonder we have so many eating disorders -let us not add to them by restricting children from eating -this is insanity- Michelle Obama does not know what she is doing -there are other ways -and this is not it!

It's not the food... it's the lack of exercise. I would much rather see school last another hour and allow grade school children recess and a lunch hour that allows them to go outside (or to a gym in bad weather) and play. For all of the latchkey kids, keep them after school to play for awhile as well. Keep them away from the video games and let them run.

The diabetes is a legitimate concern, but if it is caused by school lunches, then perhaps men ought to be paid a family wage so that the moms can quit their jobs and homeschool. That will also solve the bullying, the peer pressure, and most of the transportaion problems.
