How about 'honor killings? They are very popular in some parts of the world.

Every so often, for decades, DPRK has committed irrational or inflamitory acts to get 'the West' to the bargaining table to give them food, oil/gasoline, and other consessions so that they'll behave nicely. Pretty much a predictible pattern. Until now. Now they have an inexperienced leader who wants to show the world that he's important. If your neighbor let his pit bulls run loose, would you wait until your child got mauled before you did anything about it? South Korea, Guam, Japan, Taiwan are all within range. Do we wait for one of these areas to go up in smoke before we take action? And then what? More consessions to get them to stop?

I remember one show where Steve Landisberg (sp?)(from the Barney Miller show) started talking and soon had Johnny laughing so hard that he had tears in his eyes. Landisberg kept talking and it was obvious that Johnny had lost control of the show. In the end, they apologized to the guest (or guests- I( don't remember) who as/were to follow for running out of time. Landisberg stole the show! And to Johnny's credit, he let him take over. As you said, he never upstaged his guests - here's a great example.

He called for the two-state solution, with the Palestinians 'contiguously united' which, as everyone knows, would provide a vast area from which the Palestinians could launch their missiles to ALL parts of Israel. And if zero is truely supporting the Israeliis, why did he immediately pledge 500 million dollars to Palestinians when he got back? Why does the U.S. give ANY money to the Palestinians? Let's vote on THAT!

WHY is there such a push to redefine marriage? Not because they want societal recognition (civil unions are recognized in many states/countries) but because of the financial benefits (inheritance) now enjoyed by married couples. Once marriage is redefined, where does it stop? If a person can marry another of the same sex, why can’t they also marry a sibling, or a pet, or their I-pad? For avoiding inheritance taxes, parents could marry their children, or a man could marry hundreds of wives who would all be eligible for Social Security benefits when he passes away. An African Grey (bird) lives for about 60 years, and we know how people love their pets. I know this may have sounded absurd 10 years ago, but look what this ‘progressive’

Since we (the U.S.) have been acquiescing to the ‘arab world’ for so long, Ahmadinijad (sp?) warned that if zero visited the Temple Mount, it would be considered an 'act of war' against the muslim world. This shows how much ‘respect’ the ‘arab world’ has for U.S. – the audacity to tell the president where he can and cannot go. He didn't go there. AND, as a ‘show of respect’ by the arab world toward the U.S. and the president, they lobbed a couple missiles into Israel WHILE HE WAS THERE! If THAT isn’t a brazen act of war, or disrespect, I don’t know what is. And what was the U.S. response? Maybe a ‘stern warning’ from the State Department… The depths to which this country has fallen saddens and disgusts me.

And we provide money and training to the PLO. That group of thugs couldn't support itself so we prop them up. Teach them how to fight the Israeliis and out of the other side of our mouths, we declare our fealty to the Israeliis. Talked about mixed messages! Is it any wonder that our standing in the international community has plummeted? And that our 'allies' don't know whether or not they can count on us for support?
