Can Republicans Talk?: Part II

Doug3385 Wrote: Dec 01, 2010 12:55 AM
The current crop of Republicans are already looking at ways to tweak Obamacare rather than repealing it. The Tea Parties are already being ignored by the people they put in power. The Republican party is finished if this continues. It's time that conservatives in both parties form a third party founded on the Constitution and conservative principles.

Remember that when asked about the rise in revenue that is generated by tax cuts, Obama said that it wasn't about more revenue coming into the treasury, but about "fairness". That kind of brilliant understanding of economics, or lack of it, is what is destroying the American economy

The Republican party is in the process of self-destruction. A third party will emerge in the not too distant future and the Republican party will go the way of the Whigs.

Jefferson understood that tyrants are more afraid of an armed citizenry than armed criminals. Criminals can be negotiated with and easily bought off, but armed citizens will not yield to tyranny and will defend their liberties.

Only after our parents are gone do we seem to remember all the things we should have said to them. If your parents are still alive, talk to them and ask them the questions you want to know the answers to. I wish I had.

We Need Diversity

Thank you, Professor Williams, for pointing out another canard of the left. Diversity should be called what it is: Quotas. Where blacks excel, i.e. sports, there is no need for diversity/quotas. Where they don't excel, they must be included in sufficient numbers, whether their grades qualify them or not. Eventually, it will be noticed that inclusion does not guarantee success and a quota for graduation, at the college level, will be required. At that point, a college diploma will be as worthless as a high school diploma from most public schools.

in Afghanistan, like every other project or program of
the president, is viewed through the prism of politics. What will get him the most votes in the next election is the only thing on his mind. Just once I'd like to see him make a decision based on what's best for America, not just what's best for Obama.
