Ann Romney is a partner in ownership of Rafalca. Without support of owners with money, many horses would not have the chance to become Olympic caliber. Most of the owners are not making money out of it. The cost of campaigning one of these horses is astronomical, which is why it is often a partnership. The therapeutic value of horseback riding and being involved in horse sports is unchallenged. I've been a horse owner for over 25 years and have never been rich but enjoyed almost every minute, even though it was sometimes a financial strain.

Trust me there are rich people behind every athlete there or they wouldn't have had the funds to compete. Wonder why they don't pick on other sponsors in the same fashion. They are just hateful

Rafalca is the name of Ann Romney’s show horse, which competed in Olympic dressage this week. Rafalca Derangement Syndrome is the name of a debilitating partisan disease, which is raging among snotty “progressives” posing as populists.

On Thursday, the George Soros-funded henchmen of MoveOn promoted a new TV ad that “features a talking Rafalca Romney, who tells us Mitt would treat many Americans worse than a horse!”

Interspersed with scenes of a dressage competition, the talking Rafalca mimics a faux British accent and lashes out at the Romneys’ privately earned wealth:
