I think there are a lot of good ideas in these comments, such as getting rid of elevators so people would have to walk up (that would be good for them unless they are sick, can't walk, etc.). Refusing to provide new mothers with formula can't force someone to nurse who has a problem doing it, or someone who, for whatever reason, does not want to do it. I had my child in 1969 and chose not to breast feed. She didn't grow up stunted or stupid. Forcing people to breast feed is a good reason to have a home birth. It's not the state's business what women do on this issue.
New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg cares a whole, whole lot about what you drink. First he acted to take away your 32-ounce Big Gulp. But be aware you don't have complete latitude among non-sugary beverages. He also wants to take away your baby formula.

The old axiom says conservatives want to keep the government out of your wallet and liberals want to keep it out of your bedroom. On the latter point, Bloomberg begs to differ.

As long as you're having sex, he'll respect your privacy. If that sex produces a baby, it's a different story.
