The UN wants to be the totalitarian government of the world, with power to decide who gets what. Who looks at the UN & thinks that's a good idea? It's the poster child for national sovereignty. The UN has been trying to acquire the power to tax, which would make it a government.

Right now the UN is conspiring with the Obama political machine to do an end run around the US 2nd Amendment by making a treaty to in effect change US gun laws.

For over 20 yrs the UN has been pushing the notion that a harmless natural trace gas essential to life emitted in energy production is a subtle pollutant , therefore the UN should be able to ration energy (& economic growth) arbitrarily. Notice that only land-intensive windmills, solar, and doing without energy are considered as 'solutions.' CO2 is bad, but not so bad we need to bring fusion or satellite solar or safe nuclear fission online ASAP. The narrative is never about getting 'safe' energy but about "redistribution", which tells us what this is for!
