Anyone who falls for "moderate-sounding" Democratic congressional & state candidates are fools. No matter how annoyed you might be with a spineless or ineffective Republican PotUS, remeber that Demmie legislators have sold their souls to the Democratic Party & its radical agenda & they'll fall in and march in lockstep to enact it on command. Any "moderate" noises they made at campaign time is just part of the con-game & have nothing to do with how they'll vote or govern. If you don't want the entire radical totalitarian Demmie agenda, in the voting booth just remember that "D" stands for "disqualified", "disingenuous," "disregard", "demented", and "don't."
These days, our political parties are defined by their presidents. Their policies and their programs tend to become their respective parties' orthodoxies.

And the perceived success or failure of those policies and programs tends to determine how the parties' candidates, even those who don't support many of them, do at the polls.

This has been especially true in the past two decades, in which fewer Americans have been splitting their tickets or changing their minds from election to election than was the case from the 1950s to the 1980s.
