More Settled Science: Wrong about Ice Melt in Greenland, Sea-Rise

If the "warmies" were sincere & serious... They'd be up in arms over Solyndra & other "green" scams that just divert resources from ostensible efforts to solve the problem, to the pockets of well-connected crooks. They would want to see any domestic restrictions/taxes on combustion energy accompanied by proportionate duties on imports of goods manufactured by CO2-generating energy, lest all the manufacturing simply flee overseas, & as much CO2 is made as ever. Strange how they're just OK with Chinese CO2! They would not be attracted by schemes shown to maximize statism & tax burdens while haviong negligible effect on CO2 levels or "warming" like "cap & trade".

They would be realistic, & not link their concern over CO2 to a generalized hostility toward the Western standard of living or civilization, nor would they want to create totalitarian regimes and/or a world dictatorship ostensibly to deal with this issue. IMO these are the real motivations for many "activists."

They would not be Luddites or demand dastic reductions of others' living standards. Being pragmatic, they'd realize that "do without" is not a realistic energy policy, so would favor energy sources that don't generate net CO2 rather than government micromanagement & hypertaxation of energy use.

They'd want to see intensive development of non-CO2 high energy like safe modern nuclear, the new sub-critical can't-melt-down nuclear generator designs, satellite solar, a "Manhattan project" to develop deuterium-tritium fusion as a commercial energy source ASAP (at 1 time it was supposed to come online in France by ~2020 but has been pushed back to 2050 by politics?)

They would want to see limits on combustion modified to give much credit for fuels made by removing CO2 from the atmosphere in recent times, i.e. biomass and algea fuel, as these would not add net CO@ to the air.

New research published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences tends to now show that ice melt estimates previously calculated for Greenland have not significantly accelerated- as has been previously postulated- nor has the melt contributed in a meaningful way to the rise of sea levels.

Recently, much of the destruction on the east coast as a consequence of Super-Mega-Hurricane Sandy Gore was blamed on the rise in sea-levels, which have been blamed on…drum roll…global warming.

The newest revelation, amongst many in the last several years that have muffled the global warming chants of  “settled science, settled...
