From Washington Post Fact Checker (3 out of 4 Pinocchios): "Those figures are correct, but they are also not tethered to anything Obama has done. The report that mentioned the 2.7 million jobs simply said that is how many potentially exist. Meanwhile, the Energy Department cited a host of reasons why foreign oil imports have declined, noting the main reason was “a significant contraction in consumption” because of the poor economy and changes in efficiency that began “two years before the 2008 crisis”—ie, before Obama took office."
And that is why we need to fix the tax system and close loopholes. If we make the system equitable then everyone pays their fair share. 35% on a million dollars is a lot more taxes than 35% on $30,000. The rich will then pay their fair share. Paul Ryan's plan is a good start ... much better than the one the President has proposed ... oh wait ... the President hasn't proposed a budget plan in the nearly 3 years he's been in office.
away long-standing deductions for our industry while leaving these same deductions in place for other sectors of the economy.
Here is the reality to Bernie Sander’s accusations http://www.exxonmobilperspectives.com/2011/04/27/gas-prices-and-industry-earnings-a-few-things-to-think-about/ ExxonMobil is one of the largest taxpayers in the United States In 2009 Exxon Mobil’s total taxes and duties to the U.S. government topped $9.8 billion, which includes an income tax expense of $1.6 billion. Over the past five years, they incurred a total U.S. tax expense of almost $59 billion, which is $18 billion more than we earned in the United States during the same period. Critics often try to ignore these facts by saying the oil and gas industry receives “subsidies.” But what they really mean is that they want to increase the oil company’s taxes by taking away...
The government gets taxes every time we buy a gallon of gas. In fact, in many states the government gets more profit from a gallon of gas than the oil companies. http://www.factcheck.org/2008/04/gasoline-tax-profits/

Logic? Does it not seem logical to you that being hateful and pious to someone who needs Jesus that they will be hateful and angry to you? Who is the one who is missing the logic? Stating the truth and being compassionate were equally important to Jesus. Without compassion the truth meant nothing. You've made the truth mean nothing, because all you care about is being right, not seeing someone be emotionally healed. You are a Pharisee. Chuck, adultery is also spoken of as an abomination and that would leave out a large portion of the leadership in the GOP. I'm not condoning homosexuality, but it is a sin as any other sexual. The Bible is very clear about sexual sin and therefore, if homosexuals are not to be included in the conservative political action committee, then neither should adulterers or "fornicators". I Corininthians 6:18 says, "Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body." Sin is sin is sin and we are all of a sinful nature. Without loving people as *people* then we will never win them to the love of Christ.

Acceptance of a person does not mean approval of bad behavior. We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Without loving the person and hating the sin, how can you possibly ever expect to win anyone into the family of God. Someone is not going to see the error of their ways if they are hated BECAUSE they've sinned. Can you imagine someone telling you all of the things you've done wrong and then jumping up and saying, "You're right! I totally see your point and I'm going to change my ways immediately! I'm a bad, bad person because you said I am!" Jesus said, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone." John 8:7 I believe in judgment because without judgment we have no standard by which to live. We need to...

Being gay is not a sin any more than being an alcoholic is a sin. The behavior is a sin. It is totally conceivable that being gay is genetic, just like being an alcoholic is genetic. If someone uses self-control and does not act on that behavior they should actually be commended and not condemned.
