Remember when Dayton read some memo he received and decided to close his Senate office in Washington? This guy, who hasn't had to work for his subsistence, involves himself in politics as a hobby, and sounds as articulate as someone stumbling out of a bar at 2 a.m. is very proficient at shutting down government appendages. Too bad he hasn't figured out how to do it to the areas that need to be closed permanently. Angry Minnesotan
He's under the bed so he can't be found at 2 a.m. when the phone rings...

My mother always said if you can't say something good about someone, don't say anything. End of post.

This is so easily solved... put the guy in charge of keeping Obama's school and birth records secret in charge of the State Department documents.... problem solved!
The trouble is, the chemistry of Sharia and the freedoms granted to us by our Constitution do not mis. The beginning square weighs the "game" in favor of Sharia as our system begins with a premise of "you have freedom of speech and religious beliefs". Unfortunately, a lot of our political leaders, motivated by political correctness and their blind drunken stupor to obtain votes say, "This isn't about religion!" It is absolutely about religion! It is about a religion that advocates the downfall of our system of government and does not share the tenets of the values it espouses (and, folks, I HAVE to point out the acknowledgement our founding fathers gave to Our Creator!). In addition, this is a religion the espouses that it is OKAY to...
Pretty amazing that my tax money is being used by the Executive branch to sue a government body that is attempting to uphold a law rather than upholding a law they are supposed to enforce. Time to take out the garbage...

Our only hope would be that they wouldn't read THAT bill before passing it...

Your point is well taken, but this is something that has been happening over a generation. We've had so many friends go through divorce, that I finally went to try and talk to the latest couple that had announced they were going to divorce... my helplessness felt even greater after I had had the conversation. And I felt even stronger about my own 32 year marriage afterwards.

You're right. The institution is under attack, as is everything instituted by a God who I believe is going to have a discussion with us about this at the end of it all. What do you say? "I didn't like YOUR rules!" "I wasn't happy with who you made come into my life." "You didn't show me my 'soul mate' soon enough." "He was such a bore!" "She wasn't on my...
...enough to think that the folks who sat by in the positions of legislative power while the country was sinking are competent enough to come up with a GOOD solution now?

Are we really surprised that this 100 pound pile of goo is packed with tweaks and treats for special interests and payments for favors? I'M NOT HAPPY OR WILLING TO PAY FOR NEBRASKA'S SHARE OF MEDICARE!! Why are you? Nelson, while making a moral stand on abortion, showed the weakness of his moral fiber by allowing himself to participate in STEALING from citizens from other states. Hey, Bennie boy! Guilty of one sin, and you're guilty of all!

And Republicans! You're no better! An opportunity comes to show what you're made of on an earmark bill, and you...

Call or write your senator and representative and tell them to start packing.... and then make sure you go vote in 2010 and 2012 and make that happen!

These are the folks who have "regulation" authority that did not do their jobs, accept God knows what for influence in the process, and now package a huge bundle of manure as "leadership", tell us to bend over and smile, and ram this smelly, "unprecedented" pile of legislation through.

My heart aches for the men and women who fought for and and are fighting for our freedoms and gave limbs and lives to allow these shennanigans to occur.

Amy Klobuchar, Al Franken, Tim Walz... pack your bags... you and your ilk are going home.
