What amazes me is the majority of people that dont have healthcare insurance have no problems buying big screen TV's, they get their nails done weekly, jewelry, and whatever else they spend money on besides real necessities yet they can not afford health care?? I can assure you, if these same people were to budget their money and be accountable, they should have no problems paying for healthcare. I raised 3 sons with no child support, no state aid, no help from any one... No hand outs. I was able to do it. It is a matter of determination, managing your money. I refused to raise my sons with the mindset that they were to expect other people, let alone the government to take care of them. They had to work for everything they needed and...

I can understand banning texting while driving, but the use of cell phones I believe is ridiculous. My car is blue tooth enabled, it does not require me to use my hands. I personally feel if they ban someone talking on their cell phone, then next they will ban passengers in your car, you may talk to them and be distracted. The more they take away, the more government control they have. Are the people suggesting the bans people that are privileged enough to have personal drivers to drive them around?? It may be easy for them to suggest such a law, it probably would not affect them. Have they considered how many urgent calls that are made and life saving calls made in the car? I do see a lot of drivers that do not drive well. Sometimes...

There was an advertising company in WA that refused to do an ad for a Christian book and gift store, no one from the government seemed to have gotten involved with that situation and told them they had to advertise for them.... They are selective on who they will stand up for apparently. http://visiontoamerica.org/story/you-cant-advertise-with-us-%E2%80%93-youre-christian.html
I wouldn't want to be in a foxhole with McChrystal or those with his mentality... It breaks my heart that this leadership doesn't seem to value the lives of our military. I grew up in the military, and then was in the military, that bond was closer than your own family. You look out for one another! Also, we served because we loved/love our country. My youngest son serves now as well. My heart goes out to all these young people and their families. I can only, only imagine how hard it is to lose your child like this. I do have to say, my son loves serving his country. Personally, I think we need some old school "ROE"

He has no problem offering apologies to others for our nation which were given unjustifiably so, but is determined not to utter I am sorry for his own transgressions, which are legitimate.

This doesn't say much about his character. This is something parents teach their children when they are young. There is something missing here....

I have to agree with you. I didn't agree with every decision of President Bush, but I do think he was a very good man and I do think he loved/loves our country. He kept us safe and he did a very good job. I think the last couple of years he was put against the wall and could have made different decisions. But, no matter what he had to deal with he and Laura Bush were both a class act! Bush should also not have to be held responsible for what the Democrats pushed and put into place. Democrats do thrive for the handout system. Their motto seems to be no place for Capitalism, only socialism.
Many heads are in the sand, and are content with them there. They busy themselves with reality TV and soap operas. When away from home they engage with whatever they can as to not know what is happening in our government and world. The media doesn't help this matter. Our youth live in a bubble, voted for what was popular amongst their peers not knowing the ill affects, or seeming to care for that matter. They don't know history, government or world affairs and yet will argue adamantly for Obama, it is frightening. I can assure you they are clueless as to what is happening around them now. They just voted for Obama because it was the popular thing to do.And,the no income group that radically loves him doesn't understand how much better life...

"Remember Obama said that if the US isn't in better shape at the end of his term he won't run again...We have nothing to fear.... RIGHT......"

Do you really believe he will do what he says he will do??? I would believe it when I see it... Besides, the damage is done, no one will be able to recover what he has done.

PS. Landrieu is a disgrace to La. and this country.

This bill will hurt more people than help, and certainly hurt our country.

I also agree with William... I think George W and Laura Bush are class acts. I may not have agreed with everything. But there was no wondering where he stood with our country! He kept us safe. He may not have been as an eloquent speaker as Obama, but I would rather have the heart, the character and the morals of Bush any day. Obama is a well tailored salesman, and unfortunately the media and much of our public buy into him. Guess they have been desensitized by QVC. The bigger unfortuanate, he isn't a vacuum cleaner (well maybe he is, but not literally) that he can not be returned. I have a lot of respect for Bush and his family too. We all make mistakes. The difference is Bush loves our country and it was obvious. Obama seems to be...

I am alive today also for the amazing doctors we have in this country. They didnt expect me to live either. I am fortunate to have private insurance, it is expensive, not perfect. If I would have been in virtually any other country, I would not be here to write this from inadequate care and delays as he wrote. Originally from Canada, many of my family still live there, they dont get the quality care and have to wait months to see a doctor. Pitiful.

Before my health issues, I went years without insurance for myself and my family. It was my choice. We we all very healthy, I didnt want to spend that money at the time. Many people choose as I had. Now Obama wants to force an inadequate health system that wont work and will be more...
