Please...George Bush is why we gave the seat to Jon Tester. I and 3561 other voters have our little noses (which we cut in spite of our faces), to remind us of what we have done, but really... As one play does not win or lose a game, neither does one Senate race. Jon may have been the last Senator elected in 2006, but many others including Mr. Obama were part of this freshman class, so its really the state of Illinois we should blame.
