where you can read about the Texas State Board of Education’s efforts to do exactly what Linda Chavez is recommending in her op-ed today entitled "American History, Not Ethnic Studies."

The vote on the adoption of new Texas Social Studies (K-12) standards will be held this Friday, May 21, 2010.
