Sorry, but a fertilized egg is not yet a human being. And your definition of murder is dubious.

"The DNA determines the humanity, while biology determines life - both of these traits are present at conception, the moment of creation."

It's debatable as to how much DNA determines about us. I side with those who believe nature is more of a factor than nurture. Nevertheless, DNA does not determine our identity. Two twins do not have the same identity. Therefore DNA cannot be identical with our personhood. And the DNA in an acorn does not make it an oak tree. We can easily distinguish between the two. Chopping down a 50 year old oak tree is not the same as crushing an acorn.

"Apparently you subscribe to the concept that 'NOT all humans are created equal.'"

Not hardly.

"Brain activity is observable, but it does not determine humanity. "

Of course it does. Our identity and our ability to reason, communicate and act according to our free-will is what makes us human. A comatose person -- that is, one with no "human" brain waves, is considered as good as dead -- as the Terri Schiavo case indicated (among many others.)

If a soldier intentionally kills someone who poses no threat to him or his country, then he has committed murder. Collateral deaths are not murder.

"LOL! As if the oft repeated DNA or fertilized egg arguments aren't more specious."

Yes, those scientifically provable arguments are totally specious aren't they?

"Brain activity is factual and based on science."

Brain activity is observable, but it does not determine humanity. Even those comatose patients with little or no brain activity are still considered human persons. Keep on proving just how stupid you can be, lackwit.

"I'm sure the best answer one can expect from the likes of "donjindra" will rely on either the oft repeated, specious "personhood" or "viability" arguments,"

LOL! As if the oft repeated DNA or fertilized egg arguments aren't more specious.

"Liberals rely on these arguments because they are based not on any science or fact, but because they are purely speculative and subject to change depending on the whims of the spineless lefties."

Brain activity is factual and based on science. Most "conservatives" rely on their whimsical interpretation of "holy" books -- not much better than reading magical tea leaves. So try again.

"At what point does a "fertilized egg" become the being that the DNA coding will make it? "

Unfortunately that's not an easy question to answer. But brain development has to be the major consideration, IMO.

"The fact that you simply say I'm wrong, without actually making any argument ..."

You made a simple assertion. There's not much need for me to offer a detailed argument in reply. But it should be obvious that a person, or human being, is much more than DNA. DNA is the blueprint for a human being. It isn't the person. Twins have the same DNA. They develop into distinct persons. Nobody seriously claims an acorn is an oak tree, either.

As for murder, your definition would make most soldiers murders.

I'm sure the best answer one can expect from the likes of "donjindra" will rely on either the oft repeated, specious "personhood" or "viability" arguments, assuming he bothers to answer at all. Liberals rely on these arguments because they are based not on any science or fact, but because they are purely speculative and subject to change depending on the whims of the spineless lefties.

Ok, know-it-all, please feel free to give your definition of "human being" and "murder." The fact that you simply say I'm wrong, without actually making any argument is an obvious display of the truth - you got nothin'! In other words, you are just another retarded troll who is incapable of reasoning. Please run along and stop embarrassing yourself.

In comments made before the presidential debate this past Tuesday, Chris Matthews claimed that Gov. Romney’s position on abortion was “almost like Sharia,” stating, “You’re saying to the country, we’re going to operate under a religious theory, under a religious belief.” In doing so, Matthews repeated the common leftwing libel that conservative moral principles with a basis in religious beliefs are equivalent to radical Islam.

In May, Rev. Billy Graham took out full page ads in North Carolina newspapers stating in part, “The Bible is clear — God’s definition of marriage is between a man and a woman. I want to...
