The only reason the unemployment numbers have gone down is because those who are 60 and older that can't find jobs have gone on social security. So, I guess in reality the unemployment numbres are still up over 9% by their count and probably 20+% if you figure in those who aren't eligible for unemployment.

And those younger are "suddenly" on disability. Look at the massive increase in SSI disability claims in the last three years.

If Obama blows his reelection bid, maybe he can apply for a gig with a late night talk show.

Sure, his jokes aren’t that funny, but I presume that most of what he saying now really is just a joke.

And perhaps between now and November the jokes will get much better.

They could get worse, but let’s hope for the sake of our country that they don’t get that much worse.
