I agree with the "no gays" premise but...what is the real objection to them being in open active military service? Their sexual preferences, right? So then why is it just dandy to have girls, mothers, sisters, young and not so young women in all the services completely integrated with the males (except in very small elite units like SF, Rangers, SEALs, etc)? Queers have sex with men but women don't? It's ok to enjoy some quiet oral fun in your hooch in the desert with a female troop but not do the same with a gay? Are we to believe that there has never been an inter-rank love affair between an officer of one sex and an enlisted of the other sex? Why is this ok between males and females and not ok between same sex couples?...

We have lost our country, no matter what Obama and all the other leftists tell us about how wonderful we are now, what with "diversity", "affirmative action", "community housing acts", and all the other liberal BS! I have long felt like a foreigner in my own country and I am no longer certain that I would risk my life to defend it anymore. I mean, defend what?

Conservatives need to wake up! The NFL is controlled by and totally dependent upon blacks. If blacks think Rush is a racist...and they do...that's it! Who cares about fairness? When have leftists, blacks, the media ever been "fair" when it comes to conservatives? The race "Dons" would call for and get, a boycott of St Louis, blacks would refuse to play against or for the Rams, and millions of dollars in revenue would be lost and for what? Conservatives always display their incredible stupidity when they complain about the latest episode of "unfairness" from leftists, blacks, the media, et al in any particular controversy. The idea is NOT to go to France, as you suggest, rather it is to look at what other civilized countries are doing when confronted with the same problems we face here, like I mentioned, Muslim "immigrants". For examples: France always puts French interests and benefits first in foreign policy. The US always seems to be more concerned about other countries ...Israel, Mexico, "the world"...than we do about our own people and country. And seriously, wouldn't you love to be able to travel, say, from Raleigh to Wilmington or Ashville on hi-speed, immaculate, safe,trains rather than on I-40? And aren't you a little bit offended at having to press "1" for English all over NC? And wouldn't you enjoy safe and busy downtown areas in our cities...

Sure, but this has been done from time to time by an ethnic minority of muslim immigrants that the French now realize they erred in allowing in. France is doing all it can, under the EU rules, to get them to go home including paying their way and giving them financial aid to do so.
While the US wastes billions fighting far-flung wars against muslim fighters, here we spend tax-payer money to build foot-baths for them in our public places and we import 40,000 Somalis to live in Minneapolis! France meanwhile has banned muslim clothing in their schools and made no concessions to them.
If you want to live in France you had better live as the French do: in the US, we'll change our country and even our language to make you comfy! ...

Do you really believe that Americans today believe that they live in an "exceptional" country? That is the way my parents' generation (WW2) generally felt about their country and I remember all the patriotic and even religious influences on our young lives when I was very small, but all that has long been gone from the American scene. When I was coming up no one was a "hyphenated" American, Columbus Day was not controversial, Washington and Lincoln (in most states) had their well-deserved holidays, we did not have to "press one for English" and my recollection is that there was clearly a sense of togetherness as Americans which has been purposely hammered out of existence by the multi-culturalists, relativists, radical leftists and...

Americans who mock and denigrate all things French must never have spent any time in that country. Of course France is highly centralized...but France also has a highly-trained and well educated civil service, and civil service in France is considered an excellent middle-class profession. Parents are happy if their children pass the exams and become civil servants. Their government functions!
Look at our "civil service". Go into most any post office, IRS office, federal gov't building and look around: those people are the same ones who would be handling your medical care! graduates of the Washington DC school system, diversity and multiculturalism before efficiency, "representative of America", etc. The French don't care about...

Again, as they have shown so many times, the French are the supreme realists. Just as Sarko said...the US is living in a dream world: "build nations", "spread democracy", "teach them the American way", "nation of immigrants", and on and on, dream after dream! The French have always looked at the world as it is, right now, where we are. They analyze every item and then act in the way that is best for France, as well as they can discern this. France takes no other nation's "feelings", no other peoples' "welfare" into consideration in making national decisions...only what is best for France and the French people.
