Dr Sowell has Obama and his possee pegged pretty good. Misdirection, fast talk as a con man or pickpocket preforms their act. Maybe BHO wasn't born in a manger but in a galaxy far far away. Maybe he's Darth Vader.using Jedi mind tricks. Whatever he is not a statesman. He has bit off more than he can chew. Freedom is not in his vocabulary. His latest magicans trick, demonize the insurance companies. MC's Waxman and Stupak (my rep) working as attack dogs, are compelling health insurance companies to provide records, most of which are available from the SEC. Harrasment, witch hunt and PR stunt. Their polls indicate the public ranks insurance companies with lawyers ,used car salesmen and congress. So bottom line no longer health care reform...

USPO in the red about 7 billion this year and 8 billion next year. Amtrack similar. Tons of money being stolen every day from medicare. Government should build roads bridges and lighthouses and everything else we should debate.Government by definition has no incentive to be efficient. Everything being proposed by BHO an the Liberals will exacerbate the problems. Tort reform, a risk pool for preexhisting conditions, and MORE DOCTORS are not being considered. Health insurance premiums should be tax deductible to ALL premium payors. Everyone will fare better if our governments role is limited.I recommend that Left Angle and Rick read "Civil Disobedience" Henry David Thoreau. When FDR said "we have nothing to fear but fear itself" he...

Liberals, my comments are for intellectually honest readers. Please continue if you qualify. The issue is access to medical care. Insurance is one method used to compensate providers. Cash, chartible groups and government are three others. As Dr. Sowell pointed out, health care is how you live your life. Smoke, drink, drugs and diet are good examples. Your choices, your freedom to drag, toke, pop or swallow determine how much medical care you may need(consume). Of course genes are a factor too. The Government attack on insurance companies is a political smoke screen. The goal of making medical care available to every American, with strong research and developement while managing cost is doable. But not with the Government plan as proposed....
