I live in California where Republican registration is now less than 30 percent!. The brand is dying people, and if you can't win in urban centers you can't win, period. Mitt Romney is a good and decent man, the kind of man a good and decent people would elect by a landslide - fifty years ago. My son and I were talking and all the young want to know is are you for gay marriage and will you pay for abortions? These Alinsky tactics of class envy and division of people into small special-interest groups work. Patriotic appeals and values do not work, as half the people could literally care less. Whether it's too late or not I don't know and I wish appealing to fundamental values and core Christian beliefs could win the day, but self-interest
