While I am pleased with the election results, focusing on redistricting as a means to create permanent party seats seems unseemly, just like using earmarks to get re-elected. Too many politicians get re-elected when they should be in jail. I would like to see them do the right thing rather than "buy" votes.

Excellent essay as usual. I've been reading your work for a while now as well as Krugman and suggest you send personal copies to him and the "historians" like Kearns, et. al, that still think FDR was a great president. It might do some good to see analysis instead of emotion.

Liberals at War With Liberty

Short list for those of you who don't see change in personal liberty: tax on booze and cigs, curfews, open container laws, motorcycle helmet laws, gun control laws, seatbelt and child car seats, DUI roadblocks, anti smoking laws, auto inspection laws, and on and on...
Michelle is smart, beautiful and pro-life. These characteristics disqualify her in the silly mindset of the liberal. You cannot be a feminist unless you support abortion on demand. Fuzzy logic?
Vote out all incumbents and support the "Fair Tax Bill".

Government Greed

There are other areas where greed isn't used often enough. One is municipal employees scheduling unneeded overtime to boost retirement pay. I find it funny that union folk are not greedy but they call management greedy quite often.

I like the California law that allows judges to be voted out. How about one for the supreme court?

Right on! The public school system has been broken for a long time.
Unions are the best example we have of socialism. They ignore economics at their peril.
