Why is it when people band together to form Corporations and Business Associations to further their agenda they are considered great Americans but when the working men and women band together to further their agenda they are considered Marxist, Communistic, class warfare waging "cancers"?

People voluntarily join together in corporations risking their effort in the form of capital to produce a product. People have a choice of whether or not to buy that product. The effectiveness of the corporation to supply a customer base will determine the success of the corporation rewarding all who participate in accordance with their risk.

Unions as they currently exist require all employees to join regardless of their individual desires. Unions are created and do business with corporations with the corporations sometimes as an involuntary employer. They are like any corporation as they are out for their own profit. Frequently, they put the company in a position where they have no choice but to capitulate or operate at a...

Comrade Roy..... People form corporations and business associations to MAKE MONEY. "Working men & women" band together to contribute to Union thugs who in turn fund boneheaded morons who wouldn't stand a chance of being elected on their own resource power because their ideas that don't work. Obama is a Marxist engaging in class warfare, Van Jones & Valerie J are AVOWED communists. Cancer on freedom.

Oh ok. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

I'd like to add that in order to work at many facilities people are "forced" to join a union, it is not a choice or a matter of "banding" together. And yeah, I worked in a union shop for years and watched the union leader fat cats live the high life on the toil of our backs. So, if indeed, you are merely talking about unions, you can have your union but should not force it and its accompanying ideology on everyone.

The same goes for you leftists and your leader Obama who want to redistribute the "wealth" that others have worked for and earned. This country has been about equal opportunity but so many of you don't just want equal opportunity, you think you are entitled to something for nothing.

Let me ask you something, Patterson. Would the National Association of Manufacturers advocate for your company if you were not a dues paying member?

Roy, Have you ever belonged to a union or you merely another obamabots earning your obama dollar. If so, skyrocketing gas and food prices are making that dollar as worthless as Obama.

I've been a member of The International Brotherhood of Teamsters, The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, The Laborer's International Union of North America and am currently in the Steelworker's Union. I'm versatile you know. Btw you didn't answer the question.

Mike wrote: Governments are made up of people. Your post left you open to the question, what do you think is the difference between governments and corporations, as far as being invested with moral qualities? Point of reference: Citizens United. –in response to Gospel According to Democrats: Woman, Behold Thy Government Program!

Dear Comrade Mike,

Neither governments nor corporations are moral. Morality is distinctly a human quality. I think when Romney talked about corporations being people, he meant “made up of people,” not actual human beings.

But that distinction doesn’t mean that corporations can’t have standing in law or...
