I'm all for it, Gayle.

You mean like Marcos and Pinochet?

With a chocolate shake on the side and jalapeno peppers too?

And, look at it this way. Since 47% of our citizens do not pay taxes, that means the campaigns will be subsidized by the 53% who do pay taxes. This percentage is bound to be lower by the time Obama runs us through the mill with his stupid fiscal policies. That does not bode will for the proper financing of our elected officials. We will need to look at 3rd world countries to see how they handle such dilemmas.

Ok Gayle have it your way.

That's your story and you are sticking to it.

Campaigns have to be paid for, they are not free. That means all tax paying citizens pay for all the advertisement whether they agree with the message or not. That's exactly what union membership is all about. Your dues go to candidates that you may or may not agree with. Not a proposition I can support.

You know what has to happen. Nothing will change until you take the money out of getting elected.

Fair enough. But it won't happen. That is, the politicians won't take responsibility for their disaster, BUT those making above average incomes will PAY and PAY and PAY....if they manage to stay in business, that is.

What Ransom, pretty much alone, seems to have missed is that the Democrats don't have to vote for a tax hike bill. The Republicans voted for one 12 years ago (extended by a compromise for two years) and it will go into effect in January. The Democrats only plan on passing...
