The Black Family in 1965 and Today

I find it interesting that nothing is ever mentioned about the growth of the poor whites. Years ago this group was refereed as 'poor white trash'. This growing group is difficult to see. In a sense they fit into the American picture. There is work that can be done and needs to be done in every city. Instead of giving money and housing use the same money to give them job. IF they then don't want to work and contribute then let them be. (Reagan tried this in California....He couldn't get this group to work.) Work teaches responsibly. If government teaches a young woman that if she has babies she doesn't need to work. If a husband is in the house then she is not paid. Since the sixties we have seen this problem grow. Social programs does not address these problems. At one time not so long ago people who were convicted of crimes went to prison and were made to work.... We though then and now that chain gangs were awful. However, some prisons to have work that inmates can do. Until we can get passed the idea that these growing groups are victims we are stuck. When a black man or white man's money is being taken from them to support another black man or white man's children this is simply a wrong notion. The failure of this notion is seen every day but is still the government operating principle.

Steve, grow up. Ron
Democracy? Doesn't anyone know what we were doing for and with with the President that the people there overthrew? Does anyone believe that was a democracy? The current president isn't popular. Does it seem to anyone that the people in the country want to fight this war? This is a political war Not a civil war. In our past when we have engaged in a political wars we lost.

WOW, what a confession? Maybe its time to take a vacation from writing.I would offer this as a suggestion to many of the political writers also. A long sabbatical working in a fast food service company. Or maybe a plummer's intern.

Theses are a lot of psychological terms...Do you really have any idea what they mean? I think not....BUT as a political writer you can assume anything that supports your story I guess. Anyway it seems so. You guy and gals aren't being helpful.... Why don't you write a similar kind of article on our president and see what terms you psy terms you can come up with. Ron

The first political event I went to as a young boy in Mississippi one of the candidates was handing out whisky and the other was handing out two dollar bills. Guess who won the County Supervisor seat in that election. (MS politics hasn't changed much over the decades Look at our last run off election for Senator.)
