Only time will tell if they've been saved or not. We don't know that they would be out of business without the bailout. They would have gone into bankruptcy and then renegotiated their debts, their union deals, and may actually have come out of it stronger. I for one believe screwing creditors and giving a large portion of the companies to the union will lead to their demise sooner or later.
