In response to:

WAKE UP, GOP, AND QUIT OSTRACIZING TODD AKIN

Any political party that feels like it faces repudiation at the polls due to one stupid remark by one of its candidates, and therefore they have to lynch that candidate for their own survival, is a party built on a weak foundation, in fact its a house of cards, either that or it suffers from a severe case of paranoia and a massive inferiority complex. Either way something is terribly wrong with that party. A strong, confident party, strong in its convictions and secure in the knowledge that they speak for the silent majority, would never even consider flogging and ostracizing one of their own to this degree over one dumb remark for which he apologized. The democrats, misguided as they are, would never do this to one of their own.

An apology from a politician equates to "I'm sorry you all caught the lie." It's absurd to believe that Akin's apology has any value outside of a political calculation on his part. Like all politicians, he was caught having to defend his position and he contrived this gem on the spot hoping he could move onto the next talking point. Unfortunately, for Akin, while the public scarf down most of the nonsense peddled by politicians, this time it was too stupid to choke down.

They may be committed to destroying this country from within, but its sincere, they are true believers in their malevolent cause, and they would never do this to one of their own.

The democrats have no principles, their only goal to retain power and their tools are the education, the media and PC policy to indoctrinate. Every conservative who bucks their indoctrination is automatically on a watch list.

Power is what the left wants. Nanny state entitlement is what their indoctrinated subscribe to like zombies.

RINOs think similarly that government is the answer, while Messiahs on both sides ultimately just exploit a favorite cause in order to be able to translate the momentum into a bid for personal glory. For Obama he had a blank check because he was black and not Bush. Akin is using pro life to make his path to immortality.

Prediction: If the GOP establishment doesn't follow Republican Rep. Todd Akin's example with a big, fat apology -- to Akin -- the whole party goes down in flames come November.

I don't mean every Republican will lose, but there is great political peril in not sealing the hole in Republican armor that has opened in Missouri and instead permitting it to remain a Democratic pressure point. Further, "for the good of the country" (the mantra accompanying the partywide chorus of pleas to Akin to drop out of his U.S. Senate race), Republicans must resume funding Akin's viable campaign ASAP, after cutting it...
