Some of us have spent 40 years trying to get the Republican establishment more engaged in the culture war, precisely because we knew, as the Marxist left knew, that if we lose the culture we lose the country, and we knew, as Breitbart said, that politics is downstream from culture. So we spent a lifetime pleading with the GOP establishment to get involved in the culture war, not as an aside, but as a matter of dire importance, and the establishment, for the most part, looked at us like we were crazy, like we were hysterical, like we were a bunch of Birchers who needed to be kept in the closet lest we reflect poorly on their pristine image. In fact, when Pat Buchanan gave his famous culture speech the GOPE recoiled in horror!

And now, EVEN NOW, when we have lost an entire generation to the Cultural Marxists, the GOPE still doesn't get it .... STILL DOESN'T GET IT ... they still think we need to concede the culture to the cultural left, don't even fight to get it back, and hope that we can win the youth generation over by talking about tax cuts to people who don't even pay any taxes, or free enterprise to people who still live with their parents and don't even have (or want) a job, precisely because they have been so indoctrinated and demoralized by cultural marxism.

You know what should be our number one priority?

Teaching every child in this country about the Frankfurt School and Cultural Marxism and how our culture was subverted and by whom, and exactly what that entails, and to what end.

We should move heaven & earth to make sure every kid in America learns that lesson and we should stop until that mission has been accomplished, then when we talk about the culture and religious liberty and moral absolutes they won't look at us like the bad guys, like uptight old people, but like people who are trying to give them back the culture these malevolent bastids took away from them, the Judeo-Christian culture that was their heritage as Americans until these SOB's intentionally set out to corrupt them

Then, and ONLY THEN, will the younger generation turn their wrath on the left.

Very well stated Dobermite. I agree totally and have said the same thing myself.

Thanks MD, when I'm on the same page with the father of a Marine, I'm know I'm in good company.

We took my grandson out of public schools shortly after Obama was "immaculated" as Rush says, because they were getting out of control with the leftist indoctrination and had started teaching the kids to sing their Obama worship songs. We've been home teaching him and his sister since then(she never started in the public indoctrination system) and they are both well ahead of where they'd be if we hadn't made the move.

I agree. And am unsure that the lessons you want being taught are even getting to the private school and home-schooled kids, while I believe many parents, that bear that extra expense, sacrificially, must agree with your outlook.

Yeah, well, the Republican Party should have covered up the evangelicals, right after Reagan got done using them.

I’m not much of a whiner, nor am I someone who makes predictions. I’d hoped for a Romney victory, though more for an Obama defeat. But that, when you think about it, was the problem. While there’s no doubt Romney would’ve been a much better President than the current occupant of that office, when people are presented with a choice between the vague they know and a vague they don’t know, they will pick what they know.

Romney offered a vision of American that was different, but didn’t spend a lot of time explaining how it would get to...
