Marybeth, I understand what you're saying and its not without merit, but none of this would matter, or it wouldn't matter to the degree that we have rejected our American heritage and embraced socialism and cultural marxism, if this generation had not been inundated and indoctrinated with cultural marxism and stripped of its Christian ethos. All of the things people should know, the things that really matter, they would know, instinctively, if this were still a Christian nation, even if they couldn't articulate it. As Tocqueville observed, "America is great because America is good, and if she ever ceases to be good, she will cease to be great." He knew that our greatness lied not in our education, but in our moral compass.

So to did the marxist theoreticians (see Frankfurt School) understand that it was America's attachment to LOGOS that made America so resistant to traditional Marxism, thats why they concocted Cultural Marxism, the transfer of economic Marxism into cultural terms, because they knew they had to corrupt and pervert the cultural of the west, what we used to call western civilization, and essentially de-Christianize the west, before the west would embrace Marxism as a whole.

That said, there's only one thing that can save America now, religious revival, and I mean another Great Awakening.

Short of that no amount of education will do the trick because America has been too saturated, indoctrinated and contaminated by Cultural Marxism to have an epiphany. Nothing you show them will register. They are too far gone, just as KGB agent and expert in psychological warfare, Yuri Bezmenov, predicted. They are conditioned to respond to certain stimuli with Marxist assumptions, and they will become defensive if you bring it to their attention, just like someone who has been indoctrinated into a cult.

What this generation needs, its only hope, is to be deprogrammed, and only GOD can renew their hearts and minds.

It was only 7:15 last Tuesday evening when my daughter, who works in conservative journalism, texted me to say the election was lost. For a painful four hours, I watched the results confirm her early analysis. When it was clear the president would be re-elected and Republican challenger Mitt Romney had lost, I took an over-the-counter sleep aid and went to bed.

On Wednesday, I began a weeklong home improvement bender, drowning my sorrows in a five-gallon bucket of latex paint the color of vanilla creme. But there was no painting over my pessimism about the future.
