What are you gonna do, though, if you get pulled over and searched and the cop finds what may in the future be an illegal weapon? You gonna shoot him? You gonna kill a cop? Or are you just a big talker trying to compensate for something, hmm?

Not to be picky but Thomas Jefferson was the least important part of the constitution until the moment the government tries to take it away. The reasoning is that the amendment is a trip wire triggered only when our government has decided they are no want to govern for the good of the country but rule for themselves. You know raise taxes on us to pay for those multi-million dollar vacations and dispensing with those pesky limits the constitution imposes on our federal government. Which in case you missed it is happening, no budget in more than 3 years (a legal requirement in our constitution) attempts to suppress free speech, free press. The new law that allows the federal government to detain anybody for an indefinite time period.

Isn't this the stuff you were upset at Bush over only he didn't really do it his patriot act was targeted at unlawful combatants not the general public. There is a town in Arkansas that starting Jan 1 is stopping citizens asking their business, searching their person and arresting them if the officer doesn't like the answer. This is a clear violation of the 4th Amendment but I'm guessing the you so called liberals don't have a problem with that because you're most definitely representing liberty for anybody but the politicos in DC and slavery for the rest of us including you.

Yeah, the PATRIOT Act was targeted at "unlawful combatants?" What are those? They have rights too... And, no, it was, and is, targeted at us too, but I would understand if you don't know what it says.

It's Coming: Obama Asks For Gun Control Proposals

If you missed President Obama's politically laced speech on Sunday in Newtown, Conn. he hinted extensively about new gun control measures coming down the pike either through legislation or executive order.

Now the Washington Post is reporting President Obama has officially asked his cabinet members for gun control proposals.

President Obama on Monday began the first serious push of his administration to attempt to reduce gun violence, directing Cabinet members to formulate a set of proposals that could include reinstating a ban on assault rifles.
