When the US government was founded, only land owners were registered to vote. They understood, those with some "skin in the game" should be selecting the people to represent everyone. The carpetbaggers came to town after the civil war and gave freed slaves 40 acres and a mule, with the express understanding they would turn around and vote for their "new friends." When you have nothing to lose, there is no harm in voting for someone you know is less capable, as long as they promise to take more from others and pass it around. It's human nature to want more for doing less. The US was founded on principles that were bigger than human wants and desires. Where did it all go wrong?
46-47% of Americans who file returns (and we know there are those who earn and don't file) pay zero income tax. 10% of all that file pay 71% of the income taxes collected. It doesn't take a genius to see, just like Europe, the earners will leave the country or stop working so hard for everybody else. THEN who's going to pay the government?
And the follow on logic is: you could not care less about anybody's tax cut proposals. All you want to hear is how much of everybody else's hard-earned money can you get your hands on!
I know lots of people looking for work. BRING IN THE SCAB TEACHERS!!
Not sure I agree totally, but the lack of results is a symptom of most union-controlled companies and services. I'm sure some teachers do care, but they go along with the union in hopes they can milk the taxpayers more. I bet Rahm wishes he was still on Obama's staff!! LOL!
True!! Dollars must be well spent in battleground states. Have to counter the Obama smear ads.
I saw that on Hannity. This is the party saying "Every vote counts". Apparently, some votes count more than others.

The premise that number of viewers equates to support is misleading. I tuned in to Obama, only because I need to hear what kind of lies and divisive tactics he's spewing so I can be an informed voter. I bet many Romney supporters in the TV audience were doing the same. If we're going to use Nielsen Ratings as a poll, might as well warm up the American Idol lines, too! His 2 accomplishments: Bin Laden is dead; GM is alive. These are done. Neither will need to be repeated if they were both done right the first time. I don't think he's told us what he planned for an encore yet.

Ron Paul: earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from Duke University's School of Medicine in 1961, and completed his medical internship at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit and his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Magee-Womens Hospital in Pittsburgh. Paul served as a flight surgeon in the United States Air Force from 1963 to 1965 and then in the United States Air National Guard from 1965 to 1968. DOCTOR Ron Paul is a member of the US House of Representatives, representing Texas. Yeah, I really see your point, people! (sarcasm) Paul and his wife then relocated to Texas, where he began a private practice in obstetrics and gynecology.[
