Well said, El Loco. I for one am very tired of seeing my hard earned money going to people who believe they are "entitled." Welfare is going to bring us to our knees.

For several years I served as Chair of the Private Industry Council in both Missouri and Maryland. When I assumed those positions, I found tremendously bureacratic organizations at the County and State level that were more interested in "numbers served" than actual outcomes. I worked very hard to personalize the programs to the individual so that we could see positive outcomes one by one by one. The members of our Private Industry Council got the message. We suggested and we successful in making several changes at the local level in the County government personnel. While the overall statistics for the programs may not reflect positive outcomes, many of the local programs have been successful.

Thank you for this wonderful account of your visit. It's all about the people! And, you have so beautifully told their stories. Frankly, I'm for obama staying home and playing golf for the next 4 years.

There are 20+ welfare programs from which an individual and/or family can tap into. Add them all up, and the government is paying way more than $9/hour to those who don't/won't work. We're attacking the wrong problem. Welfare is bringing down our country, economically, morally, socially, spiritually, as well as our education system, and preparing our workforce for to compete globally.

I agree in principle. But, Obama is low class himself, so classical music would be lost on him. Also, Beyonce just isn't a nice person. She treated the Capitol employees as if they were dirt and beneath her. I guess she was the right choice for Obama after all.

David Gregory is a pompus aXX and should be held to the same standard as anyone. He broke the law and should be punished. DC Police should have the backbone to enforce. Chief Lanier will lose a lot of respect if she fails to do the right thing in this case.

Atheists don't have a lot to offer in a time like this except for emotional support. But, it's awesome how most people head for the church where they know they will receive the "peace that passes all understanding" through the Holy Spirit and the prayers of the people. Thank God for people like Matt Barber who boldly proclaim their faith.
