Romenycare is nonsense, filled with wonkishness, wrapped in the Beltway- and it doesn’t even attempt to address the problem of spiraling healthcare costs that it was originally supposed to solve. In fact, it pushes costs higher. **************************************************** were you meaning to write obamacare there or are you speaking about the recent stuff MA is doing to try to get romneycare prices under control?

I believe he meant exactly what was said...Obamacare is even worse, and a NATIONAL calamity, rather than a state wide mess.

At least the people of MA appeared to WANT Romneycare, which is more than can be said of the people of America and Obamacare.

You make a valid point here. If the folks in MA like the idea of socialized health care, then God love their pointy heads let them have it. I love the idea of state's rights.

What really surprises the heck out of me is that, here in Cali, we DON'T have socialized health care (I'm NOT EVEN suggesting I'd like to see it).

I guess we have to have the high-speed rail first so we'll be able to get to the one hospital that will remain (probably in Barstow. Have you ever been to Barstow?).

/Hyperbole off.

In all seriousness, it seems Cali hasn't discovered a tax we don't absolutely love. We just can't tax ourselves enough.

It's almost enough to change one's opinion of Sunshine365. Almost.

Not all of us. My premiums have tripled since that was enacted. Even if Romney had some good ideas and intentions with it, once the Democratic legislature gets ahold of anything in this state, they turn it into an expensive mass of red tape that doesn't work as intended.

Example: They cry poormouth when asked why they can't fight the fraud and abuses in entitlement programs, yet dug up $275K to mail voter registration forms to welfare recipients. Right before election time. How convenient for the Democrats, drumming up support from their gimme crowd contingent.

The presidential playbook generally calls for a successful candidate to swing to the middle when they are running unopposed for their party’s nomination.

But as we enter perhaps the final months of the Obama administration, it’s becoming increasingly difficult for anyone to make an appeal to the center, if indeed a center even exists in American politics anymore.

Obama has destroyed the political center in this country, and for that we can be thankful.

Because Obama’s policies have exposed the basic problem with the bipartisan approach favored by establishment Republicans and so-called Blue Dog Democrats.

Both of those centrist...
