A Challenge to Our Beliefs

He also wrote that adults who do not work should not eat. Liberals apparently have no problem with sexual immorality, drug abuse, sloth and all kinds of self-destructive behaviors because you constantly vote to steal from the productive to give to the unproductive. Liberals obviously like fatherless homes because you reward single motherhood with handouts of all kinds. Jesus told the woman caught in adultery, go and sin no more. A Liberal would have told her what she was doing was okay, to sacrifice any unwanted babies to Moleck, and would have scolded everyone else for not sharing their wages.

For jobs to exist you need the worker to produce at or above the level of the cost of hiring them. Fundamentally, people need help to become more productive and our government is constantly destroying the incentives to become productive starting in grade school. Poorly educated people (lack of aptitude) combined with a rotten work ethic (an unproductive attitude) are not employable until change occurs and that change is not going to occur if handouts make it unnecessary. The Left is constantly telling people failure is not their fault and success is unreachable without major government handouts. We have destroyed the potential of tens of millions because of government policies that reward single motherhood and failure. For example, earned income credit encourages people to work up to but not more than what keeps them qualified for earned income credit. My neighbor runs a tax preparation business. This time of year a very high percentage of the calls he receives are from people wanting help to maximize their earned income credit. I know people that have refused raises, quit jobs and turned down full time work because they do not want to lose one handout or another. When government dictates minimum wages, takes another 7.65% immediately in FICA taxes, now demands they pay a penalty for not providing medical insurance, forces employers to pay unemployment taxes for seasonal work, and makes collecting handouts easier and more lucrative than working hard, it is tough to increase employment.

Do Americans Prefer Deception?

Big government is greatly empowered by the ignorance and envy. If I could change federal government policy, the first two things I would do are: (1) Change Fed policy to manage the value of our currency at zero percent inflation year after year, decade after decade. Nothing does more to encourage debt slavery and discourage the financial independence of a saving account than inflation created by government design. The Fed should remove from its goals reducing unemployment. (2) Eliminate all taxes on labor and replace the revenue with the Fair Tax. This would mean imports cost more and domestic products cost relatively less, which means more American jobs. Anyone could hire anyone for whatever length of time they wanted without the administrative cost sending money to the government. Imagine, no more working with payment coming under the table to avoid taxes. Imagine, all the illegal income spending that is not taxed now that will be taxed.

The War Against Achievement

Democrat worldview has no problem believing many people have no potential to be self sufficient and have no problem with allowing people the freedom of adulthood while supporting them like children. Their thinking is destructive to everyone except people that derive their power and income from the redistribution scam.

A Return to Keynes?

It will take God-sized miracle for the country to recovery from the Obama Presidency. Bush was bad. Obama has been a disaster. The withdrawal symptoms that the country is going to have to deal with along with screams of the progressives for more and more government spending, as the cost of all this debt consumes more and more tax revenue, will make it the greatest challenge this country has faced since the Civil War.

Inarticulate Republicans

The biggest problem that Republicans have is their own irresponsible fiscal history. Republicans, for decades, have chosen to put tax rates as the first priority and balancing the budget as secondary. As a direct result, Democrats have very successfully decided to ignore fiscal constraint and are growing spending as fast as possible because neither party is credible when complaining about deficit spending. Tax cuts that create deficits in the hope that economic growth will overcome wasteful spending is foolish and wicked too. Spending is the problem and always has been the problem. Both Parties are refusing to deal with the hundreds of billions of wasteful spending that occurs every year. We are slowly crushing our future a hundred different ways and they all point to too much government spending that encourages self-destructive, wasteful decision making.

Student Indoctrination

It is truly sad that so many intelligent, influential people are so logically and morally blind. The Left refuses to see the wicked, destructive prejudice of their positions and potential of all humans to be morally and productively better. The policies of the Left encourage envy, single parenthood, sloth, anger, self pity, child-like dependence in adults, and self destructive behaviors. It really comes down to a simple difference in worldview. The Right believes we are created by God with great potential and purpose that is stunted primarily by our own selfish, destructive choices and behavior. The Left adamantly reject the morality of God and fallen nature of man. They constantly demand that public policy encourage and reward Hedonistic behavior with other people's money. The Right believes in personal accountability is the basis for a strong, healthy society. The Left somehow believes in collective accountability without personal accountability.
Sadly, you are correct and that is why Obama is President. Most conservatives and most of their politicians are schizophrenic. They want to cut taxes, but want increase spending. They keep trying to live in a dream world where tax cuts result in so much economic growth that it takes care of deficits without serious spending reforms.

Serious About Syria?

dlynn4 Wrote: Sep 04, 2013 6:42 AM
Regarding our involvement in the Syrian war, the most important questions are: (1). Will our involvement result in less suffering and death in the long run or will more lives be destroyed? (2). Will our involvement result in more religious and economic freedom or less in the long run? Chemical weapons are heinous, but so are bombs and all the other tools of war. Children being killed is horrible, but so are the deaths of young men and women fighting to acquire or protect the power of any future or current oppressive government. In both the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, Christians have suffered greatly because of our involvement. The Arab Spring has resulted in horrible Christian persecution and forced re-locations. Are we, the USA, trying to bring real freedom to these Islam dominated countries or a democracy that crushes the religious and economic rights of religious and ethnic minorities by popular vote?

A Minority View

As usual, Dr. Williams presents a logical argument the Left cannot accept without shattering their own mythology. The Left knows deceit and foolishness. The Left does not know wisdom, because they do not fear God. The Left denies God's authority over us because they think either God does not exist or their values are superior to God's.

A Truly Great Phony

President Obama said Marine Corps(e) because he was not familiar with a commonly used word that describes some of people under his authority. Dan Quayle misspelled potato(e) because the flash card he was handed had it misspelled. Both are embarrassing mistakes, but clearly the first is worse than the second. How then is Obama still a genius and Quayle a dummy? The Left are the definition of hypocrisy. The Left constantly ignores and trivializes the planks in their eyes while screaming murder about the splinters in the eyes of Right.
