Would the use of Mandamus againse Sebelius be a viable option? The Writ need only be requested by someone with standing, i.e. an employee of a large corporation.

Funny, I wrote a petition to the White House which can be seen at http://wh.gov/lOEvT, there have been two whole signatures, and mine is one.

Regardless of her position, I must give the woman credit for being willing to do things which are within the law to acchieve her goal. If we had 10% of the Senate with her intestinal fortitude, we would not be in the shape we are in now. Do I agree with her position? No. Does it matter in this case? Also no.

Employers Are Not Immigration Officers

I dislike the E-Verify system because it is possible to "game" the system to harm your political enemies. Let's assume you appear as an illegal immigrant in the database: It will take a long time (if it is even poessible) to correct the error. How long could you survive with legal bills and no income?

The Snowden Effect

If SNowden presented a fantasy, there can be no treason. If the heads of the NSA, et al, are correct, no spying occurred, If they lied under oath to Congress, Snowden MAY have been a traitor, but then they are perjurers and their testimony can not be used in a court of law. An interseting problem for the Obama administration...

The Toy Gun Buyback Program

The question is that of "gun-free school zones" in California. Since the school administration has PUBLICALLY stated that toy guns must be treated as real, what happens if someone hands an LEO a writ of mandamus requiring him to arrest each and every person involved in the conspiracy to bring guns into the gun free school zone? Does the officer go to jail for contempt (if he does not attempt to arrest every staffer present), or does he arrest the Principal on down and charge them with resisting when they start yelling at him?
I suspect that you have not looked at the pump, but the pumps I have seen of late ALL say that the premium fuels have 10% ethanol, except leaded racing and aviation fuels (avgas.) Running leaded fuels on the street is not a desirable activity.
"a good person wouldn't have a gun. The armed trained police need to have guns and that's it" A logical conclusion is that since the police have guns, they are not good people. So why give guns to those who are not good people?

This Is What Intolerance Smells Like

Sure, just as long as it is applied equally to ALL religions. Major Nidal would have been executed already. The problem is every religion has extremists, and the charge of treason can not stand if there is discrimination. Of course, President Obama has discussed his religious beliefs and is commander in chief. I suggest we try him first.
