You say that you're not expecting the govt to take care of you in one breath, and in the next you say govt should create working conditions etc, etc. isn't that the same as taking care of you? Hard work doesn't guarantee success, but it helps more than not. You're right, people DO get caught in adverse circumstances all the time - that's life!

It worked that way for me (and 100's of millions of others) in my 80+ yrs of living and working. Just because some rock stars jump earning levels doesn't mean every young person will be so lucky. You must be a teenager.

That's the trouble with arguments such as "what is moral, or who determines what is moral"; morality is really any locally accepted custom. That's why one person's moral behavior is not another's (the alcohol dilemma).

A better rule of behavior: Do NOT do unto others that which you don't want to have done to you. (the reverse Golden Rule - the Platinum Rule)

I interpreted Ms Coulter to mean y'all behave like kittens - not the other image. As to her marriage comments, I think she was expressing her opinion, which doesn't automatically imply gubmint forced behavior. Even though I'm of the Galambian (Andrew J. Galambos) persuasion, which is Libertarian on steroids, i too believe in traditional marriage - it's worked fine for millenia! The problem with same-sex marriage is propagation of the species (and implicitly the culture) which has been shown to be detrimental and would lead to a slow societal suicide. From a Libertarian P.O.V., it should be a Free choice, but with an understanding of the consequences. PS, I watch all your shows - good work!

Whose Property (the store, bank, etc) is it? Respect of Freedom requires respect of Private Property. My accepted definition of Freedom: Freedom is the societal condition wherein an Individual has 100% control of THEIR OWN Property" (Andrew J. Galambos). Therefore, the "store/business" has the right to set the rules for the potential customers to adhere to if they want to enter the business. Respect works both ways.
